Trilogy Communications Ltd delivers solid growth
Date of Story: September 2008 Trilogy Communications announced full year figures showing continued strong growth despite the poor global macroeconomic climate. Its range of communication systems are sold primarily into the defence and broadcasting sectors where growth has seen contracts with a range of high profile clients including the Californian National Guard, BAE, Raytheon and the BBC. Trilogy now supplies companies in over 70 countries worldwide with significant increases in the breadth of development across industry sectors and geographical areas. Continued growth in the USA, Europe and the Middle East, is matched by promising expansion into the Asia Pacific region, with sales across the entire product range, being made for the first time in China and India. The ongoing success in existing and new markets puts Trilogy on track for continued and sustainable growth. Commenting on the latest figures Mike Knight, Trilogy CEO, said “with the ongoing difficulties in the wider economy I am delighted with our continued strong growth and look forward to building on it over the coming year.” Trilogy has continued to strengthen its position in the defence sector, selling its Mercury system into prime defence contractors BAE, Thales and Raytheon among others. Trilogy also expanded its footprint in homeland security and industrial sectors, with sales into British Energy and US National Hockey League delivering configurable customer focussed solutions. In the Broadcast sector, Trilogy’s traditional market where clients include the BBC, ITV, ARD and CBS, Trilogy saw continued strong sales of its range of intercom, sync/test generators and signal monitoring products. The Mercury IP Audio Communications system, a core element of the business, has been and continues to be a major contributor to growth. This system provides unparalleled interoperability and scalability, allowing real-time intercom communications on a one-to-one, group or conference basis. This enables users of all types of voice communication devices including UHF and VHF radio, conventional telephone, cell phone, satellite phone and legacy intercom systems to speak freely over an internet protocol interface regardless of the voice communication device being used. Following its launch Mercury was used to great effect by the Californian National Guard in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to coordinate relief efforts where its application had undoubted benefits to the relief and rebuilding operations.
